Monitoring Our Protected Properties
Every year, KHLT is responsible for monitoring each of our protected properties totaling 3898.09 acres from the head of Kachemak Bay to the Kenai River. Annual monitoring means visiting, observing and documenting any changes to properties over time. KHLT’s stewardship staff regularly maintains and renews the mutual commitment we have with each landowner partner. Annual monitoring ensures we are able to safeguard the conservation values of the lands we have promised to protect — forever. |
Support Our Stewardship Program
Forever is a long, long time, and is our commitment to you. Preserving treasured lands important to fish, birds, wildlife and people is our focus — but we can't do it alone. We need your help stewarding the special places that make the Kenai Peninsula the unique and beautiful place that it is. Support our Stewardship Program today by making a monetary donation to our Stewardship Fund. |
