Kachemak Heritage Land Trust, a nationally accredited land trust based in Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, has an immediate opening for a full-time Stewardship Coordinator. The ideal candidate possesses a strong commitment to our conservation mission, excellent ability to work in a team and independently, and a wealth of enthusiasm.
Key responsibilities include coordination of annual conservation property monitoring; processing monitoring reports and landowner communications, responding to stewardship and easement interpretation questions; addressing property violations and enforcing policies; coordinating land management activities on KHLT-owned lands, including trail-building and maintenance; supporting the Stewardship Director and Land and Easement Committee; maintaining land trust accreditation standards and assisting with accreditation renewal.
Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid holidays and time off, retirement match once qualified, and health insurance stipend. Starting annual salary: $50,000, DOE.
